A Dutch private individual had this Art Deco wardrobe made to order by an obviously very skilled manufacturer. The traditional method and the associated quality is the reason that it has withstood the test of time.Let's take a look at the front first.

Design

We see three doors, each with a beautiful mirrored walnut veneer. These six parts of veneer are characterized at the bottom by a fairly dramatic wide flame drawing. Gradually the drama decreases and ends in a pointlike shape. The left and right doors both have a semi-rounded door handle that runs down from the center. They are made of coromandel and this also applies to the veneer on the foot. The interior of the wardrobe is also luxuriously finished and the back of the doors are veneered with walnut, while the rest is finished with a satin poplar veneer with a rolling flame pattern. The ends of the shelves and drawers are veneered with teak and add a beautiful detail. In the left part of the wardrobe there is a storage space consisting of five storage shelves with two drawers in the middle. Behind the right door is a hanging area with a brass rod for clothes hangers. At the bottom is a storage compartment that is closed with a hinged cover.

We also have the matching 'two-door' wardrobe.

Condition

This wardrobe has been restored in our atelier with care and preservation of the patina.

"

This bar is amazing. Beautiful and exactly as described. A custom crate (which was a work of art itself) was built in order to ship the piece to the U.S. The bar arrived in perfect condition without a scratch. I will say that take the crate apart was not easy and was a two-person job. But worth it in the end
