Set of Six 'Model 101' Dining Chairs by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina, Italy 1960s

Beautiful set of six Italian dining chairs, ‘model 101’, by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina from the 1960s. The 'model 101' dining chairs are one of the well-known designs by Frattini, who is regarded as having had a significant impact on the development of the Italian design movement in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The chairs are made of wood and have seating with newly upholstered fabric in a beautiful off-white shade. The backrests have a nice curve to them. The chairs are in good condition and have normal wear and tear due to their age.

Literature: G.Gramigna, Il Repertorio del Design Italiano, 1950-2000, p.64.
