This refined console and ditto mirror were designed by Dino Cavalli in the 1960s and exude a great allure. The veneer, which consists entirely of walnut, is beautifully executed in detail. The color shades of the wood that go from a combination of light and dark on top to dark on the sides of the console is a work of art. Where he allowed the drawing of the wood to continue from the top to the sides, he opted for the opposite direction for the drawers. Just look at the corners, where the veneer goes up in order to give the console a nice volume, as it were, by means of a trompe l'oeil. The deeper part at the front of the drawers serves as handles and also provides a nice shadow. From the console, we look at the beautifully proportioned mirror in which the style and craftsmanship are once again beautifully reflected. The twelve walnut partitions that form the edge of the mirror are all cut out and add a dynamic play with a shadow effect. This gives a nice parallel with the console and the whole results in a warm and elegant appearance in your interior. The condition of both the console and mirror is good. The outer part of one of the drawers was once broken but has been restored. You can see this in the images.
